Variation

You can perform a hanging bicycle knee raise by moving one knee up while your other leg remains in the bottom position. As you lower and straighten the raised knee, begin to raise and flex the knee of your bottom leg. This method may help prevent swinging. It also helps you develop strength in the proper ab muscles.

Hanging Leg Raise

Position

Grasp the handles of a pull-up or chin-up bar and extend your legs to a position slightly in front of your hips. This starting position should help you feel your abs firing in a brace and tensing in preparation for the exercise.
